CQ: Camelid Quarterly Magazine &

CC: The Camelid Chronicles

Camelid Quarterly is a camelid-specific digital magazine first published in both hardcopy and digital format, from March 2002 until December 2017. Early in 2018 the decision was made to publish only in digital format.

Each article published was then extracted from the magazines and archived in the CQ Online Library, where they could be accessed by Alpaca Canada. By the end of December 2020, CQ had accumulated over 1,500 Camelid-related articles from over 400 authors.

Editorial content is robust, timely, open and diverse because it comes from the direct input of those involved in the Camelid Industry: breeders, veterinarians, animal research specialists, professional trainers and industry leaders and more, all concerned with the health, welfare and logistical circumstances relative to the camelid species.

Camelid Chronicles Library Archives

For over 20 years Peter Rysko and Sharon Parsons have been active supporters of the Camelid industry both in Canada and around the world, sharing information by way of the Camelid Chronicles (formerly known as Camelid Quarterly) to breeders and enthusiasts alike. Camelid Quarterly is an important and valuable resource built over many years, rich in information and insights into the world of the international camelid industry.

After Peter's unexpected passing in 2023, Alpaca Canada was honoured to have been asked by his family to continue hosting the Chronicles as an archived library and offering it as a valuable resource for Alpaca Canada members and the wider alpaca community.

We honour Peter's legacy by sharing this resource and will always be grateful for the contributions made by both Peter & Sharon.
